Scholarship in Outdoor Leadership
The Scholarship in Outdoor Recreation Leadership awards an outstanding graduate or undergraduate student in Parks, Recreation and Tourism who demonstrates financial need. The applicants should show a commitment to the sustainable use of wild lands and waterways with a desire to preserve these resources for other living beings and for future generations of people; respect for the opinions of others and positive approaches to problem solving; and an interest in outdoor education or outdoor recreation as a career field. Applicants must submit a brief essay exploring these three elements. Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Graduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
