College of Science General Scholarship for New Students (Incoming Freshman)

Welcome to the College of Science Scholarship for New Students (Incoming Freshman). Scholarships are awarded for the 2021-22 academic year. Applicants must be planning to major in the College of Science to be considered for the awards (Majors: Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Physics).

  • Freshman Scholarship in Science – $1,000 award
  • Eugene Loh Fly’s Eye Cosmic Ray Scholarship – multi-year award
  • Sandra J. Bromley Scholarship – four-year tuition waiver scholarship covers up to 15 credit hours per semester for eight semesters. (This award is for Utah residents only).

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications must include all of the following:

  • a personal statement
  • two letters of recommendation from science or mathematics teachers
  • a current transcript
