Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Department Merit T53

The T53 Merit Scholarship is awarded to a Utah resident undergraduate continuing student in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. The PRT Scholarship Committee will evaluate applications and bring recommendations to Parks, Recreation, and Tourism faculty for final selection. The name of the recipient will be submitted to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office of the University of Utah. A student may receive the honor only once. Awardees will have a minimum GPA of 3.5 at the University of Utah and in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, a minimum of 20 credit hours in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, be enrolled as a Parks, Recreation and Tourism major for a minimum of two semesters, be a Utah resident, be registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours for both fall and springs semesters, be involved in Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism activities or representation of the Department in College of Health, University of Utah or community activities.

The scholarship is provided annually by Parks, Recreation and Tourism to undergraduate students pursuing a BS or BA degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
