Dr. Cecelia H. Foxley Scholarship

Cecelia (Cece) Harrison Foxley is a well-known Utah native, philanthropist and mentor who served as the commissioner and chief executive officer of the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) for 10 years. The longest-serving member and the only woman to hold the position. Dr. Foxley is an accomplished educator and advocate for equity. She values the work of Dean Rory Hume and the University of Utah School of Dentistry for their work in the community specifically targeting rural Utah needs.

One $5000 scholarship will be awarded.

Applicant must:
1. Have demonstrated high academic standards.
2. Have demonstrated financial need. Financial need is demonstrated by completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
3. Be a dental student.
4. Be in good academic standing.

Preference given to applicants who:
1. Are committed to improving oral health in rural communities.
2. Demonstrate commitment to advancing the scholarship of women in Dentistry through service to the community and service to the University of Utah.
