Samuel and Hermila Alba Endowed Scholarship

The Samuel and Hermila Alba Scholarship is established at the University of Utah as a way to provide educational assistance through scholarships to deserving undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Utah. Preference for the scholarship shall be given to students from groups underrepresented at the University of Utah. Additionally, preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to the Latinx community through engagement or leadership, or who contribute to the study of the Latinx culture, education, and history.

Eligibility requirements:

• Admitted student at University of Utah
• Demonstrated a commitment to the Latinx community
• Student must either be:
• Citizen of USA
• Meet the criteria outlined in SB253 — Student must be lawfully present or be a graduate from a Utah high school
