Warren D. Fishburn, Jr. Scholarship for Modern Languages-World & Cultures

Warren D. Fishburn, Jr. Scholarship is open to all full-time (defined as 12 credit hours) resident, junior, senior or graduate students who have attended the University of Utah for at least one year and have declared a major in one of the following modern foreign languages: French, German, Russian, or Spanish.
Scholarship provides one year full (12 credit hours) resident tuition and fees and is awarded on a merit basis. Recipient must maintain the language major and hold no other scholarships.
How to Apply.
Send or deliver the following items:

  • Completed application
  • Current transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • Three letters of recommendation sent directly to the department (two of these letters must be written by Department of World Languages & Cultures faculty). If you are also applying for a University of Utah Departmental Scholarship, you may use the same letters of recommendation.
    Deadline: January 31, 2023
