Assistance League of Salt Lake City Scholarship

The Assistance League of Salt Lake City Scholarship provides up to $15,000 in scholarships for five non-traditional students during the 2023/24 academic year. To be eligible for the Assistance League of Salt Lake City Scholarship students must:

  • Be a non-traditional student which may include single parents, children of a single parent, experienced homelessness, refugees/migrants, and/or first-generation college students
  • Enroll full-time (12 or more credits) during the 2023-2024 academic year at the University of Utah
  • Have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA
  • Demonstrate academic promise, and a commitment to community service
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be seeking their first undergraduate degree
  • Complete a FAFSA before the scholarship deadline

    Please submit a one-page reflection discussing: Why you aspire to your further your education at the University of Utah, your experience as a non-traditional student and any volunteer/service activities you are involved with.

Your reference will be emailed and asked to type a letter of support on your behalf when you provide their name and email in the space provided. Family members can not serve as references.
