Utah Community Action Scholarship

The Utah Community Action Scholarship provides tuition up to 15 credit hours, room and board for one year; Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Both incoming and continuing University of Utah students who have participated in a Salt Lake or Tooele County Utah Community Action Head Start Program (formerly Salt Lake Community Action Program Head Start) as a child are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

To be eligible for the Utah Community Action Head Start Scholarship students must:

  • Have participated in a Salt Lake or Tooele County Utah Community Action (formerly Salt Lake CAP) Head Start program as a child
  • Be admissible to the University of Utah; Enroll in 12 or more credits during the 2024-2025 academic year. Must enroll in both fall and spring semesters.
  • Demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be seeking their first undergraduate degree.
  • Complete a FAFSA prior to application submission (Students not eligible for FAFSA please contact FinancialAid@utah.edu or more information about an alternate form)
