UOnline Scholarships

UOnline Scholarships are for nontraditional undergraduate or graduate students who fit school around their lives, not their lives around school.

The ideal candidate is someone who is juggling work, family, and social obligations, and relies on the flexibility that online programs offer to complete their degree. There could also be invisible disabilities such as anxiety and depression which make in-person classes difficult.

Applicants will be asked to demonstrate how UOnline makes it possible for them to complete their degrees. With a focus on Access, Belonging, and Student Success, priority will be given to first-generation college students (paths.utah.edu), Return to the U students (return.utah.edu), parents, and caregivers. Consideration will also be given to job fields that require advanced degrees to achieve pay increases but don’t receive tuition support, such as public school teachers.
