Samuel and Hermila Alba Scholarship
Background and Scholarship Administration:
The Samuel and Hermila Endowed Scholarship Fund is established at the University of Utah as a way to provide educational assistance through scholarships to deserving undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Utah. The Samuel and Hermila Alba Scholarship will be administered and awarded by the Scholarship Committee in the Center for Equity and Student Belonging (CESB) at the University of Utah.
Criteria:
- Must be enrolled and maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours or more) during Fall/Spriing.
- Must have at least a 2.75 gpa
- Must be currently enrolled to the University of Utah.
- Must have graduated from a Utah High school, lawfully present, or a U.S. Citizen. (Meet the criteria outlined in SB253)
Preference:
- Preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to the Latino community through engagement or leadership, or who contribute to the study of the Latino culture, education, and history.
Failure to submit required material will automatically disqualify you.
