Primary Children's Scholarship

*Background and Scholarship Administration: *The Primary Children’s Hospital Medical Executive Committee is committed to promoting equity and diversity amongst our healthcare colleagues. As part of this commitment, it is essential to provide educational opportunities for undergraduate learners with a desire to enter the healthcare field. The Primary Children’s Scholarship will be administered and awarded by the Scholarship Committee in the Center for Equity and Student Belonging (CESB) at the University of Utah.

*Criteria: *
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be registered as a full-time undergraduate student (12 credit hours or more)
- No grade point average (GPA) requirement.
- Must be admitted and currently enrolled to the University of Utah.
- Must have graduated from an accredidated U.S. high school.
- Non-need based scholarship.
- Entering freshman at the University of Utah during the following academic year.
- Enrolled in a medically relevant course of study, including pre-med, nursing, psychology, nutrition, speech/hearing, and public health.

*Preference: *
- Preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to impacting the American Indian/Native/indigenous, Pacific Islander, Black/Africa Diaspora, Asian/Asian American, and Latinx communities through working in the healthcare fields.

Failure to provide your current resume, letters of recommendation/references, or answer the short essay questions will automatically disqualify you.
