U Alumni First Gen Center Scholarship

The Center for First Generation Success, in partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations, is excited to offer the U Alumni First Gen Scholarship! This opportunity reflects our commitment to uplift and support our first-generation students. The scholarship amount varies depending on your application. This award is for the Spring 2025 semester. It is open to undocumented/DACAmented students who qualify for HB-144.

We highly encourage you not to apply if you currently have The For Utah Scholarship.

If you meet the qualifications below, we invite you to apply and take the next step in your academic journey:
  • Undergraduate student enrolled at the University of Utah
  • First in immediate family to attend ANY amount of college
  • Currently a sophomore, Junior or Senior
  • In good current academic standing (2.5 GPA or higher) with the University

When you receive the U Alumni First Gen Scholars Scholarship, you will be required to:

  • Become familiar with the Forever Utah Network and are encouraged to create a profile on the network.
  • Write a Thank You letter
  • Provide a picture of yourself with a personal story of your college experience, mentioning The Center for First Generation Success
