Utah NASA Space Grant Consortium Scholarship

NASA initiated the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Project, also known as Space Grant, in 1989.
Space Grant is a national network of colleges and universities. These institutions are working to expand
opportunities for Americans to understand and participate in NASA’s aeronautics and space projects by
supporting and enhancing science and engineering education, research and public outreach efforts.
A primary objective of NASA’s Space Grant Program is to recruit, train, and employ U.S. citizens, underserved
students, in NASA-related careers.

Awardees may re-apply for the following year upon satisfactory progress toward their undergraduate STEM
degree and if the student is still enrolled. The selection process of scholarship recipients will be conducted by
the Center for Student Access & Resources (CSAR) scholarship committee and the Utah NASA Space Consortium
awards the scholarship.

Criteria:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be registered as a full-time undergraduate student (12 credit hours or more)
- No minimum grade point average (GPA) requirement.
- Must be admitted and currently enrolled to the University of Utah.
- Must have graduated from an accredited U.S. high school or passed the high school equivalency exam.
- This is not a need-based scholarship.
- Must be a STEM degree seeking student.
