CSAR Jesse Galen Smock Memorial Scholarship

Provided by Sheena McFarland and James Houchins, this scholarship is established in memory of their family member, Jesse Galen Smock. This scholarship is offered to deserving underserved students at the University of Utah. Candidates will be selected through an application including a personal statement outlining the direct impact alcoholism has had on them.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate student
  • Must have completed 24 or more credit hours at the University of Utah or another higher ed. institution by fall 2025
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more)
  • Must have been impacted directly impacted by alcoholism.
