Herschel Saperstein Scholarship
This scholarship is named in honor of Herschel J. Saperstein, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, respected lawyer, and a champion of Utahns who worked to overcome obstacles to achieving an education, security, and equal opportunity in this country. Hershel had a distinguished legal career and was known as much for his ethical approach to the law as for his legal expertise.
Hershel’s commitment to making lives better for others did not stop with him. His enduring influence has led every one of his three children and two grandchildren to dedicate at least some part of their lives to advocate for and serve people who are disadvantaged and lack the privileges he deeply believed they deserve.
