We are excited to invite applications for the opportunity to become the departmental nominee for the Steffensen Cannon Scholarship
*Eligibility to become a departmental nominee: *
• full-time undergraduate students with a declared major from the World Languages and Cultures Department with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or better;
• meet the requirements articulated by the award criteria available here https://gradschool.utah.edu/funding/fellowships-scholarships-awards/grad-school-administered/steffensen-cannon/how-to-apply.php

Complete departmental nomination form: follow the link below to upload the following information and documents via Academicworks:
1. Current university transcript(s) (may be unofficial)
2. CV/ Resume
3. A personal statement of a 1000 words or less describing general activities, intellectual interests, proposed course of study, academic achievements, and leadership and community experience.
4. One letter of support from your WLC faculty (may be delivered directly by the recommender to natalya.kuznetsova@utah.edu)
Deadline: November 12, 2025 (Your application will be complete if both the application form and the letter of recommendation are submitted by this date. Please contact your references in advance.)
