Les Chatelain Endowed Scholarship

The Department of Health & Kinesiology, the Center for Emergency Programs and the family and friends of Les Chatelain are proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to our students in honor of Les Chatelain. A University of Utah graduate, Les Chatelain spent his entire career with the University, beginning as an athletic trainer in 1974. He joined the former Health Education department as faculty in 1989 and served as interim/chair for the Department of Health Promotion and Education from 2002-2016. The University is honored to remember Chatelain through this permanent endowment and scholarship.

Required criteria:

  • Applicants must be an undergraduate student in the Emergency Medical Services program in the Department of Health and Kinesiology.

Primary considerations for this award are:

  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated financial need.
