Newell Family Graduate School Endowed Scholarship

Sara C. and Dix A. Newell generously fund the Newell Family Graduate School Endowed Scholarship to support graduate student with demonstrated financial need. Alumni of the University of Utah – Sara, MS in Educational Administration; Dix, JD and PhD in Metallurgy – the Newell Endowed Scholarship will support graduate students from areas of Law (JD, MLS), Metallurgy (MS, PhD), and Education (MS, MEd, PhD; Educational Leadership & Policy, Special Education).

Eligibility criteria:

• Current University of Utah graduate student
• Pursuing a degree in Law (JD or MLS), Metallurgy (MS or PhD), or Educational Leadership & Policy or Special Education (MS, MEd, PhD)
• Have demonstrated financial need

To be considered, students must complete their AcademicWorks application by January 1, 2026.
