Doman Studio Scholarship

The Doman Innovation Studio holds the goal of removing barriers to entrepreneurship as a core value. The Studio provides clients with guidance and mentorship on their entrepreneurial projects, and understands the time and effort needed to move a project forward. The goal of this scholarship is to provide greater opportunities for students to participate in project-based experiential learning. The Doman Entrepreneurship Scholarships are intended to create space and opportunity for students that are actively pursuing an entrepreneurial project. Eligibility
*Open to all majors.
*Applicants must be enrolled and matriculated at the University of Utah.
*Applicants must have applied to the Doman Innovation Studio and be accepted to at least one Doman Studio cohort in the current academic year.

Award Details
*The Doman Innovation Studio operates two, six-week cohorts per academic semester (Fall and Spring, Summer excluded). One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded per cohort.
*This scholarship will be administered through the University of Utah Financial Aid & Scholarship offices. These scholarship funds will be applied to recipient’s tuition, fees, and other outstanding educational expenses. Income Accounting will refund any excess funds if all tuition costs have been paid for the semester. All scholarships must be accounted for as part of the recipient’s total Financial Aid package (if applicable).

  1. Statement of financial need: explain why you are seeking financial assistance, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your educational and career goals.
  2. Statement of purpose: how will this scholarship allow you to fulfill the learning objectives and project development goals as outlined in the Doman Studio application?
  3. Agreement to participation in the Doman Startup Studio: the Doman Entrepreneurship Scholarships are designed to facilitate participation in a Doman Studio cohort. Applicants agree to adhere to the requirements and outcome measures of the Doman Studio.
