Utah Community Action Scholarship

The Utah Community Action Scholarship provides tuition for 15 credit hours, room and board for one year; Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Both incoming and continuing University of Utah students who have participated in a Salt Lake or Tooele County Utah Community Action Head Start Program (formerly Salt Lake Community Action Program Head Start) as a child are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

To be eligible for the Utah Community Action Head Start Scholarship students must:

  • Have participated in a Salt Lake or Tooele County Utah Community Action (formerly Salt Lake CAP) Head Start program as a child
  • Be admissible to the University of Utah; Enroll full-time (15 or more credits) during the 2019-2020 academic year
  • Demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be seeking their first undergraduate degree.
