The Women’s Resource Center Alumni Completion Scholarship

This scholarship is made possible through the generous support of the University of Utah Alumni Foundation. Its purpose is to assist undergraduates in their senior year to reduce loans and/or “unmet financial need” as determined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. 

Award Amount: $1,000 per semester 

Number of Awards: 25


1.    Be admitted to The University of Utah working toward completion of an undergraduate degree 

2.    Senior status (72 or more credits completed as of Spring 2021)

3.    Able to establish financial need as determined by the University Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships

4.    Currently in good academic standing (2.5 or higher cumulative GPA) with the University.

5.    Maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours)

Students who wish to be considered should complete the FAFSA ( by the opportunity deadline.  If students aren’t able to complete the FAFSA online, they can submit a paper FAFSA to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. 

Students will need to submit a personal statement that includes information about yourself, your life experiences, your goals and how those experiences have inspired you to apply for this scholarship. Please make sure that you address each of these items:

  • Reasons why you feel you are a viable candidate for this scholarship.
  • Scholarly or vocational accomplishments, honors, special awards, or recognition you have received.
  • Community and school involvement; include leadership positions and/ or activities.
  • Personal barriers and/or financial barriers you have had to overcome to achieve your educational goals.
  • Any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding your situation which you feels should be known in considering your application for a scholarship through the Women’s Resource Center.

This application is due November 1, 2021 and late submissions will not be accepted.

Priority is given to students who are NOT current WRC scholars.
